The In-Between Space

Honoring the quiet seasons of your energy

Give yourself time and space to walk through the liminal space between “good” and “bad,” “happy” and “sad,” and just be OK with being just OK.

Some days don’t feel light or dark—they just feel… muted. Not heavy, not painful, simply flat. The color is a little softer. Your spark is a little quieter. You’re not breaking down, but you’re not bursting with life either. You’re in the in-between space.

We often treat this space like something to push past or fix, as if being neutral is somehow wrong. But the in-between is a natural part of our energetic rhythm. It’s the threshold between cycles, a pause between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.

In sound and Reiki work, this space shows up as stillness. A slow breath. A softened aura. And instead of rushing to “brighten” it, we can learn to rest inside of it. To listen. To allow the body to gently recalibrate in its own timing.

The in-between isn’t emptiness—it’s spaciousness.
It’s where subtle shifts begin long before we feel them.
It’s where the spark gathers strength before it returns.

When you find yourself in this muted place, try softening your expectations. Let your energy be exactly where it is. Look for the small things—a deeper inhale, a thought that unknots itself, a warm spot in your chest or belly. These tiny movements are the first signs of reawakening.

You don’t have to feel bright to be becoming.
You’re allowed to linger in the doorway.

And when your spark is ready, it will meet you there.
